With six new targeted-therapy agents receiving U.S. Food and Drug Administration approvals, and many more maturing toward becoming established therapies, optimization of these treatments has become a dire need of the moment. Current prognostic information is predominantly reliant on patient and tumor characteristics and is derived from basic clinical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests.
