Elizabeth Hanson’s father R.J. Brownlee was diagnosed in with renal cell carcinoma. After the initial shock and dealing immediate response with surgery and treatment, Elizabeth is doing something to honor her father and show him that he is not fighting alone. She has started participating in races in her area to raise money for the Kidney Cancer Association. She ran her first race on September 8 and has been participating in a race every weekend since. And not only is she helping to raise money and awareness, but she has motivated other friends and family members to participate in races as well. Please check back soon for a link to Elizabeth’s blog.
