2nd Annual Walk/Run 4JIMBO is on September 25, 2016! Please come join us as a participant or supporter for this event. We are raising funds in honor of our Dad who passed away on September 5, 2012 after a short battle with kidney cancer. All funds raised will go directly to the Kidney Cancer Foundation. Last year we raised $780 and would like to beat that number this year!
According to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, kidney cancer survival rates on individuals diagnosed with distant or metastatic kidney cancer were: 68% for 6 months, 44% for 1 year, and drastically declining to 10% for 5 years. As with all cancers, early detection and treatment is key.
We will be walking/running as part of the Chicago Half Marathon/5k. These races take place on Sunday September 25, 2016. You can register for either event at: http://www.chicagohalfmarathon.com/.
